Pitch to Publication

This is an 8-week course on writing a proposal for a non-fiction book. You will produce a professional proposal to send to a publisher. Distance learning course – study from home. You will receive personal guidance throughout from us, through email, phone or Skype.  See the Pitch to Publication page.

Pitch to Features

This is our second 8-week course. The course focuses on the art of pitching and being commissioned to write a feature. It’s suitable for you if you want to write features as a freelance writer for a range of publications: national broadsheets, women’s glossy magazines, specialist titles and everything in between. See the Pitch to Features page.

Don’t need a complete course? If you want something different speak to us about 1:1 mentoring. From as little as 1-hour to regular support. We can focus on a proposal you need tweaking, a pitch(es) you want to improve or anything to do with writing.

Our student Harriet has a publishing deal with Bloomsbury! Great news and congratulations. See Harriet’s comments on the Students’ Comments page.

Foreword to the course from Dr Sandi Mann

‘I have written several non-fiction books now (of the self-help genre) and my goodness, if only Glynis and Liat had been around with this course to help me years ago! I have had to find my path the hard way.   This course offers a way of honing your craft whilst benefiting from real authors who have the experience to guide you. I have worked with Glynis and Liat in the past and find them both very approachable and very skilled at what they do. I can’t think of better writers to run a course like this!’

Dr Sandi Mann  Psychologist, Director of The MindTraining Clinic.  Author of a range of books including: Surviving the Terrible Teens (Crimson) and Would I Lie to you? (Vision).
